Great place. Really enjoyed talking to the women running it. She even gave a free cup of coffee. Got talking to some hunters there who had just got their first moose. Learn a lot about the local moose hunting.

They changed the batter on the fish and chip, the batter was not crispy. There wasn't any chicken available also. Home made fries are the best, great services

While on a long 5‑hour drive between Green Gables and our hotel in New Brunswick, we were looking for a good mom‑and‑pop spot — and Decker Boy Family Restaurant was the first to pop up on the GPS. Several reviews recommended the chicken, and it didn’t disappoint. The young, dark‑haired cook behind the stove delivered a great meal — far better than the older gentleman with the white goatee (no offence, sir!). The restaurant has a charming maritime theme, with natural and live‑edged wood tables that add to the homestyle feel. Definitely worth the slight detour — a great local stop.

The chips have the option of homemade or krinkle cut. We picked the picked homemade, and they were good, cooked throughly and nice and crispy. The fish tasted fantastic and was fresh, not frozen, but the batter on the fish differently was lacking. It was rubbery and almost overcooked. I believe the oil was not hot enough. I will definitely be back to try it again in the future.

We are new to the area, and needed a meal after a long day of unloading our moving truck. The service and food here were incredible. We were welcomed to the area heartily. We look forward to dining here regularly.

I have been to the Decker Boy twice now and the fried chicken is to die for! It is SOOOO good! I always get the snack with a side of sauce with homemade fries or crinkle. They are so good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. They also have a Pizza Delight express in the same building which is really cool.

Excellent pizza and chicken here. We stopped here while cycling from Miramichi to Saint Louis de Kent, and had the ultimate pizza and a 3 piece chicken dinner, very high quality food and even though it was a 91km day and we were super hungry we couldn't finish it all so we had a slice each to take with us. If you're in the area and hungry, you can't go wrong eating here.
